Murata has extensive production and sales activities in the ASEAN region. Murata Singapore, established in 1972, was one of the first factories set up by Murata outside of Japan to meet the demands of the electronic components in South East Asia. Today, over 10,000 "Innovators in Electronics" are employed by Murata in the ASEAN region and India, working on one of the four factories located in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Philippines, or servicing customers in the sales affiliates in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, India and Vietnam.

Thai Murata Electronics Trading Ltd. was established on 1997 and it's main busines includes the Manufacturing and sales of electrical and electronic components.
