Toko Line was established by Capt. Iwaichiro Idaka in 1935 as an ocean-going shipping company. During the presidency of Mr. Hiroshi Idaka in the 1960's and 1970's, the company with support from the customers, expanded its business by undertaking the carriage of Japanese steel products to the United States and Southeast Asia.
Today, we provide more efficient services to meet the customers' various demands with total controlled modern fleets of 540,000DWT ranging from 5,000DWT to 38,000DWT together with chartered vessels as required throughout the year.
We have attained high reputation from our customers for carrying steel products, plant cargoes as well as grains, forest products, and other breakbulk commodities in our long term achievements.
In recent years, we have also expanded our liner service network to China, India, and the Middle East by transporting general cargoes, construction machines, and vehicles accommodated on our modern Ro/Ro and PCTC vessels.
