The Company was derived from Mitsui & Co., Ltd., a general trading company that was dissolved by the dismantling of property in 1945, and was established in 1947 as the company responsible for the trading department of Kashima Gumi (current Kashima Construction).

Taiko Trading Co. Ltd. distributes building products. The Company develops and sells building materials and equipment, as well as leases building machinery. Taiko Trading also develops, contracts, and constructs civil engineering and construction works.
