Shin Nippon Air Technologies Co., Ltd. (SNK) was incorporated in 1969 to take over the air conditioning construction business of Toyo Carrier Engineering Co., Ltd. – a company established in the 1930 and affiliated to Carrier Corporation of United States. Since its establishment, SNK has been known as “Carrier’s Technology” because of the high technology and pioneering work passed down from Carrier to SNK.

Founded on air conditioning as its core business, SNK and its group companies (the SNK Group) boast its leading role in total engineering, by providing the ONE-STOP SOLUTION for general engineering services and facilities in general, including electrical, sanitary and plumbing, disaster prevention, automatic instrumentation and interior works of buildings. The SNK Group has been operated on the basis of its key business principles: “To create a rich environment, respect personal trust and contribute to the society.”

In 2017, SNK introduced “SNK Value Innovation 2020”, the mid-term business plan of the company. Since then, it has achieved all of the targeted management indicators in the total amounts of orders received, completion of contracts and net incomes. Moreover, the strength of SNK, as a company, has been reinforced by providing environmental solutions and sound responses to customers' and society’s needs. SNK is highly acclaimed for its energy-saving technologies represented by ZEB (net-zero energy building) Technology, which utilizes sustainable energy, and for its excellence in the Optimum System of Heat Source Equipment developed by it.

The year 2019 represents a key milestone for SNK. It marks the 50th anniversary of the company in October 2019 after it was spun off from its predecessor, Toyo Carrier Engineering and incorporated as Shin Nippon Air Technologies Co., Ltd. 2019 is also the final year of the “SNK Value Innovation 2020”. In 2020, SNK will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of its predecessor, Toyo Carrier Engineering. For all their stakeholders specifically, SNK and the SNK Group would like to express their heartiest appreciation and thanks for the supports that we have received over the years.

SNK views this year as an encouraging start of another 50-year period for the SNK Group, and aims at becoming a “100-year Company" that can keep growing strongly. We aspire to remain as a company trusted by the society and its customers throughout and beyond the 2020s. With these objectives in mind, SNK will push itself harder and further to continue being a business group contributing to customers, society and the global environment. SNK will target to maintain “its high values of morality and mission”, “technologies first” and “monodzukuri” (Japanese technology to develop works/products to higher grade while integrating newest and traditional techniques/engineering method) with top priority for safety and quality. For further enhancement of corporate value, SNK will also promote approaches to Work Style Reform for redressing of long working hours, digitalization, ESG (environment, social and governance) Management.
