IHI ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. (“IHIAP”) was incorporated on 1 May, 2012 in Singapore, as a wholly owned subsidiary of IHI Corporation (IHI). Our parent company, IHI, is an international heavy industries conglomerate with over 160 years of experience. With our humble beginnings as Ishikawajima Shipyard from 1853, to our merger with the Harima Dock Company to become Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, the IHI Corporation has expanded its business into various fields over the years. Today, IHI has extensive involvement in the design, manufacture and construction of Power Systems and Processing Plants, Heavy Industrial and Mass Produced Machinery, Materials Handling Equipment, Ship Building and Offshore Marine Structures, Steel Structures, Aero Engines and Rocket Systems.

Following the establishment of the Singapore branch office in 1963, IHI recognised the significance of Singapore’s location as a geographically convenient hub for access to market information, customers and vendors in the Asia Pacific region. This culminated to the incorporation of IHI Asia Pacific Pte Ltd as the regional headquarters of IHI in Asia, with the mission to provide the conduit to connect the IHI Group to business opportunities in the Asia Pacific market.

IHI’s global business will grow from strength to strength with the extended outreach of IHI to Asia Pacific markets, in line with the needs of our customers in the region, and realising our dreams for a better world and society.
