SMBC Malaysia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), and leverages a strong capital base in-country to provide conventional and Islamic banking services to Malaysian conglomerates, MNCs and government-linked companies. We offer a comprehensive suite of products and services, including Islamic finance since 2014.

SMBC entered the Malaysian market as a representative office in 1975, and was locally incorporated in 2010. We also have an offshore banking centre in Labuan and Shared Services Centre in Kuala Lumpur to support the needs of our clients there.
