Kajima ventured into Malaysia in the 1960s, and since the establishment of its local subsidiary in 1989, it has been primarily engaged in providing design and construction services for production and logistics facilities, as well as commercial facilities in the northern region, particularly in Penang, and the southern region, notably in Johor Bahru, with Kuala Lumpur as its base. In recent years, the company has actively pursued proposals aimed at obtaining environmental assessment certifications such as GBI and LEED. Additionally, Kajima Malaysia has received recognition from the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
